2019 IN REVIEW
At the start of the 2019 season, James was with the Swindon Robins in the Premiership and the Birmingham Brummies in the Championship. However, he was let go from the Robins after a couple of months.
With Birmingham, James scored consistently despite the team struggling for meeting wins. This consistency resulted in James increasing his average to 5.31.
Sadly in August, his season came to a premature end when he sustained back and internal injuries sustained in a grasstrack crash in the Netherlands. Despite this, James was awarded Birmingham's Rider of the Year (as voted for by the fans), Bonus Point King (awarded for the most number of bonus points scored), and the Graham Warren Trophy.
James is making good progress and hopes to be ready for the 2020 season.
